If big horsepower snowmobiles going head to head in a back country outlaw style event gets you a little excited then you have come to the right place. Every  year in April since 2005 a gathering of the biggest baddest mountain sleds from the pacific northwest migrate to the Whistler/Pemberton area just north of Vancouver BC.

 This event is an unsanctioned event.There are no prizes, there are no classes, it is a "run what you brung" kind of event. There are two events, a drag race to see who has the "fastest sled" and then the free ride hill climb competition. This hill climb is what inspired the BDSO. All of this is done for bragging rights only. Its nothing more than friends having a friendly little competition amongst themselves.
