- What is the BDSO?
- -Basically it is a backcountry outlaw snowmobile competition for bragging rights only. There is a hill drag and free ride hill climbing competition.
- Are they any classes?
- No, its a "run what you brung" event. Line it up and see what happens.
- Are there any prizes etc?
- NO, bragging rights only
- Is there a fee for entering?
- No
- What does it cost to go to this event?
- The day of the event a trail pass will be 20$. That 20$ goes to grooming, parking plowing, shitters etc so technically the event is free.
- Where is this event held?
- In the Rutherford area. It is between Whistler and Pemberton. The event is actually on the glacier.
- When is it held?
- It is usually held in mid April. Check out info for the dates. Also weather dependent. Have not had to cancel one yet, fingers crossed.
- Will the trial be groomed this year?
- Believe it or not we have always had grooming arranged and do to circumstances out of our hands it has not happened on day of event. We have grooming lined up again this year. So the answer is yes.
- What is the parking like?
- Remember people it is harsh spring at this time of year, parking depends on the snowline at that time. Think logging road. Enough said.
- Are there shitters up there?
- Yes , one in the parking area and one up on the glacier near race hill
- Is there any kind of food being offered?
- There usually is a BBQ on hill. Bring funds its not free and bring small bills were not a bank.
- Will there be naked dancing girls?
- Unfortunately no , this is a family friendly event.
